The Hwy 111 Marketing Alliance
Proposed Goals and Objectives as of July 19th, 2004.
Support the continued use of Palm Springs as the dominant brand to
promote the
Coachella Valley as a tourist destination by virtue of its world wide fame.
Promote the use of Hwy 111 as a complimentary brand to create a unifying
marketing
theme with the unique ability to call attention to the distinctiveness
of each city without
favoring one.
Enlist the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention and Visitors Authority
to help develop
Hwy 111 into a national brand which will enhance return on
investment for all its member
cities and the residents and businesses they represent.
Encourage open, honest and frank discussions of local social, cultural,
political and
economic issues for our members and the community at large. (This objective
is
is fulfilled by the monthly publication of editorials and commentary
on
Hwy111.info)
Develop outstanding customer service among our members and the community
at large
through recognition programs. (This objective is fulfilled by
the spin off of
ConciergeDesk.com into a nationwide
customer service improvement and recognition
program)
Offer a frame work for cooperation rather than conflict for those who wish
to exploit the
Hwy 111 brand commercially.
(Trademark
litigation is pending)
